Advocacy Alert!
Cal-SAFE Programs have already lost $2 million for the fiscal year 2007-2008. The Governor's proposed budget plans to cut another $6 million, resulting in a 10% cut in the $60,000,000 Cal-SAFE budget. This could lead to across-the-board deficits for all programs in the state, or cutting entire programs from the budget. WE NEED TO ADVOCATE to protect Cal-SAFE programs! click here for more information.

CACSAP is recommending that all Cal-SAFE programs continue to collect data using the GradStar program. Even though the state is no longer collecting this data, it's imperative that we continue to collect the data that shows our programs are effective! CACSAP is working on finding ways to evaluate Cal-SAFE data and appreciate the help of individual programs.
